Trails of Colorado is a week where you can cycle over the Continental Divide, explore the most photographed peaks in North America, enjoy long descents from alpine tundra into pine and aspen filled valleys, have time to hike quiet trails, and raft the Colorado River! Pedal through Colorado ski country in the Rocky Mountains at a leisurely pace on gentle bike trails and a few remote mountain roads over a mile up in the mountains. To maximize your enjoyment of this amazing tour, we recommend arriving in good condition with good bike handling skills. A portion of any profits will be donated to World Bicycle Relief and the work they do to provide life changing transportation in portions of South America, Africa, and Indonesia.

Experience the Trails of Colorado:

  • Marvel at the mountains of ski country and don’t bring your ski’s! Instead, enjoy biking in the late spring weather. June is one of the driest months here with an average high temp in the mid 70’s (F) and very low humidity. Perfect for cycling Colorado! A random rain shower is possible and a cold front may drop morning temps, so pack accordingly.

  • Relax each evening in your private room. Enjoy your private room. If you prefer, you can bring roommates for significant savings.

  • Let us take a load off your shoulders. Once you arrive and check-in, the Pedalstroke staff will transport your luggage each day from room to room. Just focus on your pedal stroke and enjoy your vacation.

  • There is no better spice than bicycling to make food delicious! Breakfast and dinner are included each day and lunches are on your own unless noted in the detailed itinerary. The region is an interesting collection of cuisines influenced by tourism, mountainous terrain, and an influx of residents from around the country. You can enjoy tapas, distilleries, breweries, rustic landmarks, and northwest style seafood. Nearby Washington’s diversity of fruits and vegetables gives craft brewers, distillers, vintners and restaurateurs an extensive palette to entertain your palate!

  • Your Pedalstroke Tours staff includes a mechanic, massage therapist, and SAG stewards who are here to make your bicycling vacation a thing of wonder.

  • Amazing Bike Trails like the Blue River, Mineral Belt, Ten Mile Canyon, Gore Valley, and Rio Grande.

  • Pedal without worrying about peak fitness. The grades on this route are gentle but you will still experience high altitude, long climbs and descents which will require good bike handling skills. To enjoy this tour we recommend arriving in good fitness. Each day has route options to meet your mood and condition. On long uphill routes, where possible, we include an option to shuttle close to the top and reduce the climb. Choose your daily distance simply by letting the Pedalstroke team know what you’ve chosen for the next day. It’s your vacation, ride what you want!

  • Time to explore and wonder! You’ll have time to relax by the lake, take a guided raft ride, hike a few trails, explore historic ski towns, or just spend some quiet time in the great outdoors.
